Easter egg hunts planned

An assortment of Easter egg hunts will make area children happy this Easter weekend.
Hillsboro
Hillsboro Kiwanis Club will have an Easter egg hunt at 10 a.m. April 8 at Hillsboro Memorial Park for kids ages 10 and younger. The Easter bunny will be there for photos.
Hillsboro Chamber of Commerce businesses have an ongoing Easter Eggstravaganza through April 7. Kids can pick up an Easter bag with information at the chamber office, 110 N. Main St., and go to six or more participating businesses to collect eggs. Each egg will contain a small surprise that kids can keep. If returned to the chamber office by April 7 the eggs will be entered into a drawing to win one of six gift baskets. Winners will be contacted April 8.
Marion
An Easter egg hunt for children up to age 8 will begin at 10:30 a.m. April 8 on the lawn at Marion City Library.
Children will hunt in three age groups: 3 and younger, 4 to 6, and 7 and 8.
Marion Kiwanis Club provided the Easter treats.
The Easter bunny will be there for parents to take photos.
St. Luke Living Center, 535 S. Freeborn St., will sponsor an Easter egg hunt at 3 p.m. April 7 for children kindergarten and younger.
The hunt will be in the courtyard if weather permits. In inclement weather, the hunt will be inside the center.
Tampa
Tampa will have an Easter egg hunt for kids 12 and younger at 10 a.m. April 8 at the park and ball field in Tampa. The Easter bunny will put in an appearance for photos.
Peabody
Peabody-area parents can get a break from sneaking outside early Easter morning to hide eggs.
Peabody High School cheerleaders will hide eggs after 8 p.m. April 8 as a fundraiser.
Parents may reserve 25 eggs for $28 or 50 eggs for $42 by calling or texting (913) 360-9008 by Monday.
