Hospital board elections, filing deadlines for local races loom

St. Luke Hospital Board elections will be conducted during the board’s annual meeting at 5 p.m. Tuesday.

Two seats are up for election. Incumbent Byron Lange has said he intends to run.

Other people interested in running have until noon Monday to contact Lindsay Hutchinson at the hospital.

Qualified electors can be written in on ballots or nominated from the floor. Candidates will address voters before the election.

General elections at the courthouse will be Aug. 5 with early voting at the courthouse starting July 29.

Filing deadline for candidates is noon June 2.
