Outstanding graduates honored
School districts in the county recognize outstanding scholars during this month’s graduation ceremony.
Some have more than one valedictorian.
Marion’s co-valedictorians for the class of 2025 were Addison Cooper, Kenna Wesner, and Luke Wessel. Salutatorian was Taryn Kraus.
At Peabody-Burns, Cade Gossen was honored as valedictorian and Madelynn Blythe as salutatorian.
Hillsboro, with graduation scheduled for 4 p.m. Saturday, will finalize its list of valedictorians today. Hillsboro will also recognize the school’s Governor’s Scholar, who this year is Luke Isaac.
Goessel’s graduation also is scheduled for 4 p.m. Saturday, and the school will have eight valedictorians. They are Livie Claassen, Adriana Duerksen, Abbigail Funk, Aimee Funk, Jack Nickel, Koy Smith, Braxton Unruh, and Brooklyn Wuest. Each has a 4.0 GPA. No salutatorian will be honored this year.
Centre’s graduation will be 2 p.m. Sunday. Centre doesn’t name a valedictorian. The school will honor its Governor’s Scholar recipient, Johnathon Garr.
