Track returns 15 letter winners

The Marion Warriors track and field team returns 15 letterwinners from last year.
They include Chance Shults, Mckinnon Waner, Quade Williams, Tristen Dye, Christopher Beery, Gabby Newell, Jonathan Frese, Landon Dye, Luke Wessel, Kellen Waner, Brian Nguyen, Kenna Wesner, Taryn Kraus, Addison Cooper, and Sophia Dye.
Shults has a great opportunity to be a three-time qualifier to the state meet.
Mckinnon Waner and Quade Williams have improved their strength and will lead the throwers.
Tristen Dye and Christopher Beery will headline the distance crew, which will be the strength of the team.
“We have some promising young jumpers on both the girls and boys teams, and it will be interesting to watch them work throughout the course of the season,” coach Grant Thierolf said. “We are very excited to start the season and see how much improvement we have made in the past year.
“We have a wonderful group of athletes who work very hard to get better.”
