Warriors place at tough meet

Marion’s track and field traveled to a tough meet Friday at Halsted but still managed to place in several events.
Luke Wessel led with a first place finish in the 800.
Brian Nguyen placed second in the javelin and third in the discus.
On the girls side, Kate Wessel placed second in the long jump and fourth in the triple jump.
Dylan Kraus finished second in the 400 and third in the pole vault.
Taryn Kraus was third in the 300 hurdles.
In the 400 relays, both the boys and girls team scored third.
The Warriors will continue their season Friday at the Beloit Relays.
Hillsboro will host its own meet Friday.
Peabody-Burns will travel to Herington on Friday.
