Both Marion and Hillsboro finished 2-3 as teams Friday afternoon at the Marion County duals.
Top performers for Marion were Brody Coleman, who went 4-1; Sam Rziha, 4-1; and Evan Klenda, 3-2.
“The team fought hard today and made improvements from last weekend,” Marion coach Tyler McMichael said, “and that is what we want to see each week.
“In individual matches, we wrestled pretty well, and I think our team is heading in the right direction going into break.”
On the Hillsboro side, Landon Potts finished a perfect 2-0 at duals.
William Andreas and Seth Schafer both went 4-1 for the day.
The next matches for Marion won’t be until Jan. 10 in Herington.
