Marion County’s official index letters for the 1951 license tags will be “MN” with one letter over the other, according to an announcement last week by the state motor vehicle department. In addition, the tags will be cut in the upper right-hand corner to resemble the shape of the northeast corner of the state.

Allen Risinger, young Ellsworth elevator manager, this week accepted the position as agricultural and farm bureau agent for Marion County to succeed Carl Elling, who recently resigned.

Carol Sue Conyers, 8-year-old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Willard Conyers, received a broken leg while playing at school late Monday afternoon.

Mr. and Mrs. Braden C. Johnston entertained with a buffet supper at their home Tuesday evening honoring their daughter, Miss Nancy Colburn and Harris Seed, who were married Wednesday evening. Guests were members of the wedding party.
