Police report

Jan. 17: Officers responded to a disturbance at Tabor College. An adult female reported being struck and knocked unconscious by another female. The victim also reported being raped the night before in another jurisdiction and was transported to a hospital for an exam. A dog complaint was filed in the 400 block of South Jefferson Street. A welfare check was provided in the 500 block of West Grand Avenue. Assistance was provided when an individual was locked out of a vehicle in the 900 block of East D Street. A Herington male was arrested on suspicion of aggravated battery following a domestic disturbance in the 100 block of South Date Street. A K-9 unit performed a vehicle drug search.

Jan. 18: A child welfare check was made in the 400 block of South Birch Street. Assistance was provided with loose cattle on K-15. Marion County Sheriff’s Department received assistance with a civil stand-by east of Hillsboro. Assistance also was provided to Saline County with a traffic investigation. A 22-year-old Hillsboro woman reported that her estranged husband had made contact with her in violation of a protection from abuse order. Charges are pending.

Jan 19: An individual reported a possible child sexual abuse violation. The case remains under investigation. The sheriff’s department received assistance with a possible protection from abuse violation east of Hillsboro. A report was filed of possible animal cruelty in the 300 block of South Ash Street. Missing property was located in the 500 block of East D Street. Assistance was provided to emergency medical services personnel at Hillsboro High School gymnasium. Harassing phone calls were reported in the 800 block of East D Street.

Jan. 20: An officer performed a forensics interview at a child advocacy center. A death notification was delivered. A truancy complaint was made in the 500 block of East Grand Avenue. An individual returned a wallet that was found on a street. Valve stems were broken on a vehicle tires in the 400 block of South Jefferson Street. Damage was estimated at $18.

Thursday: A traffic complaint was filed in the 500 block of East Grand Avenue. A tenant and landlord dispute was reported in the 400 block of South Ash Street. A noise complaint was checked in the 300 block of North Ash Street. A forensics interview was conducted at a child advocacy center.

Friday: An individual reported that a golf ball had broken a window in his vehicle in the 700 block of South Ash Street. An individual was arrested at Tabor College on an outstanding warrant from Kansas Department of Corrections. An individual reported possibly being stalked. A camper hook-up was provided at Memorial Park.

Saturday: A 911 disconnect was checked in the 200 block of South Date Street. A 21-year-old Marion man reported being assaulted by a 19-year-old Hillsboro woman in the 200 block of South Date Street. The woman was arrested on suspicion of battery. A welfare check was provided in the 100 block of South Birch Street. A motorist received assistance in the 400 block of South Ash Street. Suspicious activity was checked in the 200 block of North Main Street and the 400 block of South Birch Street.
