Members of Tampa Triple T’s 4-H club brought food, clothing, photography, crafts, produce, and livestock to a farmers market and 4-H mini fair last Wednesday at the senior center. The club also served the meal.

A free movie, “The Blind Side” with Sandra Bullock, was shown Saturday in front of the fire station. The Knights of Columbus served sausages, hot dogs, and Jirak corn.

Adeline Bernhardt and Leona Kleiber had dinner last Wednesday in Salina.

Jerry Spohn of White City and Jennifer Spohn from Arizona visited Georgia Spohn on July 20.

Edna Mueller and Adeline Bernhardt had dinner July 20 in Salina.

Glenn Kerbs of Dodge City was a overnight guest July 17 of his mother, Lucille Kerbs. The next day they attended the Gooding family reunion at Marion County Lake.

Those helping Edna Backhus celebrate her birthday at dinner July 18 in Abilene included Tom and Bev Reid of Marion; Mike, Jennifer, and Cody Jay of Hillsboro; and Paul, Brad, and Jason Backhus.

Nikki Stenzel and Mark Gilford of Manhattan, Frank and Anna Mae Stika, Lori Moldenhauer, and Ronnie, Lisa, and Anna Hanschu joined other relatives and friends for a memorial tribute to James Weber on his 20th birthday July 18 at Lewis Cemetery in Ramona.

Gary, Carole, and Georgia Spohn met Ryan, Jamie, Adam, and Lauren Spohn for dinner July 18 in Junction City.

Glenn and Lucille Kerbs attended the wedding of Allison Phillips and Jeremy Sluder on July 17 in Abilene. A reception, dinner, and a dance followed at the Elks Club.

Rustyn and Lucille Kerbs went to Emanuel Church in Abilene July 16 for the wedding rehearsal and rehearsal dinner.

Tom and Dee Duggan, Adeline Bernhardt, and Jane Vajnar attended the monthly meeting of the Marion County Senior Citizens on July 16 in Hillsboro.

Lenora Graham of Florence and Georgia Spohn met for coffee July 14 in Marion.

Joyce Cox of Abilene, Everett and Rhea Kolling of Herington, and Tom and Dee Duggan attended the production of “Footloose” July 13 at the Great Plains Theater in Abilene.

The Herbel family — Aaron, Danea, Joshua, Caleb, Jake, Karina, and Jeremiah — performed a musical program at the meeting of Sunflower Senior Citizens on July 13.

Mary Clemmer and Jane Vajnar decorated with flowers from Mary’s yard and animals from Jane’s collection, many of which had been gifts from the performers’ mother.

Others present were Kevin, Paula, Calabria, and Isaiah Herbel, Willis and Eleanor Herbel, Lucille Kerbs, Edna Mueller, Don Witt, Tom and Dee Duggan, Tillie Hein, Adeline Bernhardt, Leona Kleiber, and Shirley Zaideman.

Sydney Smith spent July 12 with her great-grandmother, Lucille Kerbs.

Marcel and Irma Benda were visitors July 11 of Frank and Anna Mae Stika.

Edna Mueller and Adeline Bernhardt attended a game night at the senior center July 11 in Ramona.

Craig and Teresa Srajer of Moline, Ill., went home July 12 after spending a week visiting Tillie Hein and Jim, Kris, Grant, and Cole Srajer. They were able to attend some of Cole’s baseball games.

Ron and Jody Heath, Dani, and Tyler of Salina were dinner guests July 11of Phyllis and Rod Mueller.

Lynn and Nick Kleiber of Salina and Amanda Baxa of Wichita were visitors and overnight guests July 10 of Leona Kleiber. They also spent part of their weekend with Dale, Andrea, and Elijah Klenda of Pilsen. Lynn, Nick, Amanda, Andrea, Elijah, and Leona ate dinner July 11 in Marion.

Tom and Dee Duggan worked July 9 at the Tri-County Fair in Herington.

Orlin and Norma Wagner of Wichita and Gary and Carole Spohn visited Georgia Spohn July 10.
